Using Mobilefirst database for jsonstore sync -

we developing hybrid application using ibm mobilefirst platform foundation 6.3.

we don't know if can use database installed during mobilefirst installation.

it's bad practice use database backend our apps?
generate overhead?

the mobilefirst server installed in development environment (the eclipse plug-in) uses filesystem-based database (hsql) default.

the mobilefirst server installed in qa/production environment supports database these vendors: mysql, oracle, db2.

in both cases the database created use of mobilefirst server should used solely mobilefirst server. it should not function backend store other information in use applications, served mobilefirst server.

it should separately hosted databases - can on same machine if able , has enough resources, should different databases.
