Stop SAS from running after encountering an error -

is there simple option cause sas stop running when encounters error. similar option errorabend, except without quitting sas?

i have seen other questions - e.g. stop sas program on error, , stop sas macro execution on error questions seemed different in either dealing remote server / handling expected errors @ known places. find hard believe/understand there no simple way of stopping @ errors except placing macros throughout code errors.

i believe thing looking break button on application toolbar. exclamation mark circle around it.

note: make sure not hit clear all button (which stylized 'x')!! clear program editor code , cannot undone.
