rpm - Hiredis dependency not resolving -
please me understand rpm looks libhiredis. software easy find rest of dependencies libev etc, installed using yum. hiredis used regular make && make install yum had old package. difference.
centos release 6.6 (final)
i have created link hiredis under every possible location knew - /lib, /lib64, /usr/lib, /usr/lib64 /usr/local/lib contains file yum install /usr/src/redhat/rpms/x86_64/snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security setting install process examining /usr/src/redhat/rpms/x86_64/snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm: snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64 marking /usr/src/redhat/rpms/x86_64/snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm installed loading mirror speeds cached hostfile * base: centos.excellmedia.net * epel: epel.mirror.srv.co.ge * extras: centos.excellmedia.net * updates: centos.excellmedia.net resolving dependencies --> running transaction check ---> package snitest.x86_64 0:0.1.0-1.el6 installed --> processing dependency: libhiredis.so.0.12()(64bit) package: snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64 --> finished dependency resolution error: package: snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64 (/snitest-0.1.0-1.el6.x86_64) requires: libhiredis.so.0.12()(64bit) try using --skip-broken work around problem try running: rpm -va --nofiles --nodigest
rpm/yum cannot find software installed manually. doesn't work way. use package or build own if want work. there's no guarantee packaged software work newer version of hiredis library in first place.
