opencl - Vectorized Code on GPU -


i using opencl execute procedure on different gpus , cpus simultaneously high performance results. intel opencl showing message kernel not vectorized, run on different cores not run using simd instructions. question is, if rewrite code simd instruction can exploit opencl code, increase gpu performance also?

yes - beware not necessary on amd gcn based apu/gpu or nvidia fermi or higher gpu hardware performance -they scalar operations great utilization. cpus , intels gpu can benefit via simd instructions vector operations boil down to.

i'm trying webgl running on firefox (v37.0.2) via software acceleration mesa. tried following steps have been stated in article: http://www.binarytides.com/enable-webgl-firefox-ubuntu/ however, unable find parameter named ' webgl.osmesalib ' in about:config section? has been removed (or renamed)? if yes, how should instruct firefox use mesa's software acceleration webgl? looks support osmesa removed in favour llvmpipe.
