ReceiverCallNotAllowedException crash from Google Play Services on Android Wear -
i'm seeing occasional crashes apps on watch give following stack trace:
fatal exception: main process: com.mypackagename, pid: 3487 android.content.receivercallnotallowedexception: broadcastreceiver components not allowed register receive intents @ android.app.receiverrestrictedcontext.registerreceiver(contextimpl.java:179) @ android.app.receiverrestrictedcontext.registerreceiver(contextimpl.java:168) @ com.google.android.gms.common.api.s.a(unknown source) @ com.google.android.gms.internal.j.a(unknown source) @ com.google.android.gms.internal.e.handlemessage(unknown source) @ android.os.handler.dispatchmessage(handler.java:102) @ android.os.looper.loop(looper.java:135) @ android.app.activitythread.main(activitythread.java:5221) @ java.lang.reflect.method.invoke(native method) @ java.lang.reflect.method.invoke(method.java:372) @ com.android.internal.os.zygoteinit$methodandargscaller.run(zygoteinit.java:899) @ com.android.internal.os.zygoteinit.main(zygoteinit.java:694)
although crash reported app, can see tracs none of code mine - it's gms , platform code.
in other words, understand nature of error, it's not in power fix it. app use broadcastreceiver
s, don't register intent
handlers in them.
a solution great, i'm posting here in hopes wear platform team might see it. wear platform bugs i've posted android issue tracker closed status of "wrong forum" (such https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=95740).
